PBA DESK : RAB has arrested the absconding accused Mamunur Rashid Ripon in the militant attack case in Holi Artizan restaurant in Gulshan. The man arrested Saturday from a bus from at BoardBazar area of Gazipur. He collected money, arms and explosives from India for attacks on Holi Artisan restaurant. Mamunur Rashid was the absconding accused in the Holi Artisan case. In the beginning of the year, he tried to organize the JMB again to come back home early in the year.
Mamunur Rashid was presented at a press conference held at RAB Media Center at Karwan Bazar on Sunday noon.
Director of RAB Law and Media Division Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan said at the press conference, that a diary, four draft maps and cash worth Tk 1.44 lakhs 755 were found from Mamunur’s house in Sheikh Mera village of Nandigram, Bogra. He was admitted to Madrasa after studying up to Class III through Bangla. He studied in different madrasa of Mirpur, Nandigram and Naogaon of Bogra. In the last year, in Madarasatul Darul Hadith in Chapainawabganj, he finished his studies in Dowra E Hadis. After taking computer training he took job in Cyber Tech in Bogra, At the press conference, Mamunur Rashid was motivated by militancy through a doctor named Nazrul while working in this institute.
