PBA DESK : Ailing Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader is now on the way to Singapore for undergoing better treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital there. An air ambulance carrying Quader left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 4:15 pm, said Tariq Ahmed, ASP (media) of Armed Police Battalion.
Vice-Chancellor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dr Kanak Kanti Barua earlier said renowned Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty, who has already visited the BSMMU, said that whatever treatment so far been provided to Quader was appropriate.
Kanak said, “The health condition of Obaidul Quader has improved, but still he is not out of danger.”
Dr Shetty arrived at the BSMMU around 1:30 pm to scrutiny the overall treatment of the ailing AL general secretary, who was undergoing treatment at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the BSMMU.
