PBA DHAKA : Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today warned of taking tough action if BNP tries to carry out any violent or sabotage acts in the name of movement.
“If BNP tries to launch subversive activities in the name of movement the government will deal those with an iron hand,” he told newsmen at his ministry office.
The minister said the government will ensure safety and security of the people at any cost to maintain the current trend of development of the country.”
Replying to a question, he said that the BNP is a political party and they can do politics but common people do not like sabotage, arson attacks and vandalism.
“Earlier, BNP carried out arson attacks, sabotage and vandalism activities but those did not yield any benefit for them,” Asaduzzaman said.
About building a drug-free society, he said, “This is our ongoing process as the government had declared ‘zero tolerance policy’ against militancy, terrorism and illegal drugs. “We will control the menace at any cost,” he added.
