Professor Ma’Sum is a Senior Professor of finance, insurance, capital market, fintech and investment, King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia and also the Saudi Arabian Monetary authority’s (Central Bank) appointed audit committee member of the ACIG, Saudi Arabia. He is also an ad-hoc strategic adviser to the United Nations (UN) in its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Professor Ma’Sum had been serving and contributing academic, financial as well as corporate industries for more than 20 years with management, teaching, research, solution proving and developing of strategic and technical solutions towards the advancement of Islamic finance, insurance, capital market, investment and fintech. Professor Ma’Sum has published 31 books and chapters in books besides more than 200 articles in journals and social media globally in the specialized areas of Islamic finance, insurance, capital market, investment and fintech. He had been presenting in more than 300 summits, conferences, seminars, executive workshops and industrial professional developments in different parts of the world in the areas of Islamic finance, insurance, capital market, fintech and investment.
In addition, he had also been affiliated with corporate, academic and financial industries including different central banks of different countries, international corporate organizations, governments and NGOs in his capacity as a member in boards, advisor, strategic action planner, decision maker, brainchild of transformation and reformation in Islamic finance with strategic solutions. Among the areas of his interest and contributions are: Islamic finance, insurance, fintech, investment, capital market (Sukuk), social finance, SDGs, petroleum finance, trade and cryptocurrency models, financial strategic action plan, standards, structures and technical know-how.
Professor Ma’Sum is a Bangladeshi Origin but Malaysian by nationality. He was born in Sarnkhola, Bagerhat in a noble Muslim family. He is the youngest son of his beloved parents Allamah Nur Muhammed (R. A.) and Ustazah Akhtarun Nisa’(R. A.). Professor Ma’Sum is the founder of Dr Masum Billah DN Technical College based in Sarankhola and other charitable and humanitarian contributions in Rayenda, Bagerhat. Professor Ma’Sum married to Dr Khamsiah Nawawi and they are blessed with 4 children includin.
