PBA REPORT: Three judges of the High Court have been prevented from performing their duties as allegations of corruption surfaced against them, say people familiar with the matter.
Several sources at the Supreme Court administration confirmed Bangla Tribune on Thursday ( Aug 22) that justices Salma Masud Chowdhury, Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and A.K.M. Zahirul Hoque have been barred from hearing matters.
The names of the three High Court judges were not also included on the cause list. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam told Bangla Tribune that he was “aware of three High Court judges being probed”.
“But I am reluctant to comment on it at this time as it involves the president and the chief justice,” he said.
