PBA, Dhaka: The Traffic Department distributed helmets among children to make awareness about safety and also encouraging them to abide by law in roads.
On Monday traffic department senior assistant police commissioner Julfikar Ali led the helmet distribution held in front of ZamZam Tower in sector-11 .
He said “This is a small initiative on behalf of Uttara Traffic Zone. Applying law on road, we see, most of the bike riders are indifferent to use helmets for their children,”
“We’re giving a message to the guardians to make them aware about safety,” he also said.
The police officer also informed that a total of 13 check posts are being set up for checking vehicles.
Traffic police also distributed flowers and chocolates among the children.
